Regulation
UTAC engineers are mandated by the French administration
to provide expert input for work on European regulations, and in this
capacity are actively involved in many R&D programs.
UTAC acts in an expert capacity on european and international bodies
and takes part in developing regulations applicable to vehicles and
automotive equipement in such fields as safety (active and passive)
and environment (emissions, energy, noise, vibration, electronic systems
and electromagnetic compatibility), and in developing industrial standards
in these fields.
To facilitate the application of European regulatory texts,
r.a.c.e.
provides consolidated versions of basic directives or regulations
texts and successive amendments in french and in english language.
Extended document base
Users can track each regulation and each directive. Approved UNO WP
29 projects are documented, and new items with respect to the previous
edition are highlighted.
Powerful features
Users can search by document reference, technical area, vehicle category,
signatory country (regulations), or using full text search capabilities.
Other features include: multicriterion search with boolean operators
(AND, OR, NOT); intuitive interface with support for truncated data
entry; hierarchical index presentation; backup for frequent search
operations; annotation function; export and print functions; and automatic
switchover between languages. The system is designed for efficient,
intuitive browsing, with drop-down table of contents, internal and
external hyperlinks, etc.
